Actor-Producer Vishnu Vishal shares an emotional and transformative story about his biggest childhood dream, his father’s life-changing advice, and overcoming multiple failures at the Aaryan press meet.

“My biggest dream from childhood was to become famous. I was a cricketer. When I thought about what I could do, it was cinema. But my family pushed me, not me. They said you won’t be happy sitting in an office job. You have to do something different. They encouraged me to pursue cinema,” recalls Vishnu Vishal.

“It took around seven years. For seven years I tried to enter the industry but never got an opportunity. I gave up. Then I went and joined software testing in an office. I was so upset – cricket, cinema, and suddenly I’m in a 9-to-6 job. On the third day, my father saw me upset and told me one thing: ‘Wherever you are, try to do your best. That’s it. If you’re working now, be number one there. Be the best there. Not number one, but be the best. Work hard, dedicate yourself. You will grow.’ That’s all he said.”

“Then I started enjoying my job. Then I came to movies by chance again. And every time I lose, I get reminded of my father’s words – try to work hard, try to be best, try to focus. That pushes me again and again. In cinema, the misery was after doing Raatsasan, nine consecutive movies of mine were committed, shelved, dropped. That was misery. I had to rise from that again. That’s when FIR came. During COVID, I released it in theatres and it became a hit. So every time I feel blank, those points are miseries for me in life.”
