Superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran delivered a compelling and heartfelt speech at the ‘Vilaayath Budha’ grand trailer launch, held at a packed Lulu Mall in Kochi on November 14, 2025. Responding to a query from the anchor about the challenges of “being Prithviraj,” the star offered a remarkable perspective. He firmly stated that the Malayalam cinema audience, who “raised” him, holds the ultimate and undeniable right to criticize his work.

“When I come to Lulu Mall to release my film… and this many people gather, it’s because of the love and hope you have for me,” Prithviraj remarked to the cheering crowd. “Therefore, you have every right to criticize me.”

He elaborated that if a film or his performance is “bad,” the audience has the complete right to say so and to point out his flaws. He emphasized, “I take it with all respect… you are free to criticize me.”

However, while acknowledging the audience’s right to critique, Prithviraj made a sincere and powerful promise to his fans. “There is one truth I can guarantee,” he asserted. “I will never approach a film with less than 100%. I have a desire to apply my limited talents 100% to every film I do, and I will try my best to do that.”

This powerful moment was a significant highlight of the star-studded launch event for ‘Vilaayath Budha’, which is set to hit cinemas on November 21st. The film, directed by Jayan Nambiar, showcases Prithviraj in the rugged and intense role of ‘Double Mohanan’.
