In this moving clip, Samuthirakani (who plays ‘Ayya’) describes ‘Kaantha’ not just as a film, but as a “timeless epic” and a “universal language” that transcends all barriers.

The speech took a deeply emotional turn when Samuthirakani spoke about his co-star and the film’s producer, Dulquer Salmaan (who plays ‘T.K. Mahadevan’). With a heavy heart, he praised Dulquer’s intense and immersive performance, confessing that he wanted to hug him after seeing his dedication.

He then shared a fascinating and humble story from the set, revealing, “While acting in this shoot, I would never act on the first take. I would just stand there and enjoy his (Dulquer’s) acting.” He joked that director Selvamani Selvaraj would point this out, and he’d simply reply, “If I am this close to him, I can only watch him!”
