Berny recounts how the timeless masterpiece “Innale Mayangunna Neram” from the movie Vandanam and the soul-stirring “Pinneyum Pinneyum” from Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu were both penned by Gireesh Puthenchery on the very same day.

The story takes us back to the creative hub of Priyadarshan’s flat, where Berny and his brother Ignatius were working on the tunes for Vandanam. While Gireesh Puthenchery was crafting the lyrics for “Innale Mayangunna Neram” in one room, he later moved to Vidyasagar’s studio to write “Pinneyum Pinneyum.”

Berny reflects on how he only recently realized the incredible coincidence that these two legendary songs, belonging to different films and different musical palettes, were born within a 24-hour window.
